Anniversary Contest at Vanilla Seven

The wonderful photo blog, Vanilla Seven, is celebrating its first blogoversary.

Although I haven't visited as faithfully as I wish, I've been a fan of Vanilla Seven for almost all of that year. I found the site late last fall, and didn't realize then how new it was! I also learned today, from reading the post, that the "seven" may refer to the number of contributors to the blog (although they began with two- perhaps the goal was seven, or perhaps I don't understand what the "seven" means).

That hardly matters. If you enjoy great photos, from a slightly different perspective, this is a good blog to follow. There are nature pictures, but not all. Quite often you will see a theme of some kind revealed through the lens. Somehow, as the rest of us walk through an ordinary day, we see ordinary things. Vanilla Seven may see a lifeguard chair with glowing primary colors, storks dancing through town or two rugby players locked in a duel!

Check out the blog Life for Technology. The site offers a collection of interesting news headlines, humor and techie tips with several new posts daily. Recent posts include the auction of dinosaur bones, a cartoon about image formats, and creating visual sound.

I would like to see links to the full articles, not just headlines, but I guess you can search the web for more information if you are interested.

Trader's Hub - Blog Review

Trader's Hub is an eclectic collection of posts by Big Daddy Richard. He was for 2 decades a foreign currency trader who worked around the world.

He posts in-depth information on a number of topics that will interest a variety of readers. He is equally comfortable with football or discussing buying a baby gift from a nice shop.

But he has also stated a goal to share some of his knowledge from his profession. Posts on that topic include "The New Gold Rush- Is It Too Late?", "Let's Trade the Currencies Together," and more.

He's currently running a large Entrecard Contest with sponsorship from several other great blogs. Among those are Mature Not Senile, and Singaporean in London which I also enjoy.

The posts are well-written in clean and clear English. This is a blog with an Alexa rating of under 100,000 (low scores are good), and there is a reason for that. This is a blog with substance. Check it out!
